Why SyncAgain

Everything a serious note-taker needs

Built for people who treat their vault as a second brain — and refuse to hand it to someone else's cloud.

Zero-trust encryption

Flip on optional AES-256-GCM and the plugin encrypts every note on your device before it leaves. Your passphrase never goes to the server — it stores only ciphertext it can't read.

End-to-end

Real-time sync

A persistent connection pushes changes the instant another device edits a file — no polling, no waiting. Edit on your phone and watch it land on your laptop seconds later.

Live push

Volume awareness

MD5 diffing means only the bytes that actually changed get transferred — never the whole vault. Light on bandwidth, light on your data plan, fast even on huge vaults.

Bandwidth-light

Conflict-aware writes

Coordinated locks serialize concurrent edits so two devices never clobber each other mid-upload. When a new device joins, a first-sync resolver walks you through any divergence cleanly.

Safe writes

Multi-vault & multi-device

One account, any number of independent vaults, synced to unlimited desktop and mobile devices. Each vault stays fully isolated, with its own encryption setting.

Unlimited

Offline-first

Keep writing with no connection — the plugin queues every change locally, then reconnects automatically and syncs the moment you're back online. Nothing is ever lost.

Auto-reconnect
Zero-trust architecture

The server holds your notes. It never holds your secrets.

With end-to-end encryption enabled, the plugin derives your vault key on-device from your passphrase and never transmits it. Every file is sealed with AES-256-GCM and authenticated before upload. To the server, your second brain is just indistinguishable noise.

  • Keys derived locally — your passphrase never leaves your device
  • Per-file integrity checks, so tampering is detectable
  • Toggle encryption on or off with a safe, guided re-sync
  • CAPTCHA + OTP protected recovery — no plaintext password ever stored
